Rhapsody

Rhapsody is CMT’s proprietary multi-resolution context-sensitive image processing software. It is applied to Digital Radiography images to reduce noise, enhance contrast and harmonize the appearance of diverse tissues on the image.

A rhapsody in music is a single-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, and is free flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, color and tonality.

Likewise, CMT’s Rhapsody allows a variety of tissue types, from lungs to soft tissue to bones, to be viewed on a single image with a harmonized, yet crisp and vibrant appearance. Subtle details are seen with rich contrast for any gray level and dynamic range. Rhapsody does not introduce edge or shadow artifacts. Nor, as with a perfect musical work, is a single note out of place.

Rhapsody consistently delivers optimal image quality for softcopy viewing and printing. The algorithms can be tuned for specific clinical applications and body part protocols. A simple user-friendly interface allows the images to be tuned according to specific needs and personal preferences, and settings to be saved for future use.
